Strawberry farm (also growing potatoes and rearing pigs) is looking for pickers to start work from the middle of May picking and packing crops. Work is usually paid at piece rates so you will have the opportunity to earn above the minimum wage of £5.73 per hour. You will be paid overtime rates if you work over 39 hours per week. The overtime rate is £8.60 per hour.
Accomodation is available in mobile homes housing 4 - 6 people in each caravan. Gas bottles are available for workers to purchase on the farm. The cost of each bottle is divided between all workers in the caravan.
An £80 damage deposit is taken which will be returned at the end of your stay if the caravan is well maintained .All workers are responsible for the cleanliness and safety in the accommodation.
Trips to Edinburgh and BBQ's will be organised throughout the summer, depending on workload.
WIFI is available in the common room for use with personal laptops or the worker's computer situated in the quiet common room.
All workers must have suitable repatriation insurance to work on the farm
