Seasonal Farm Supervisor (Spinach)

Salary: £9.62 per hour, 39 hours a week

Location: Devon

Summer is busy for us at the farm and we are recruiting for a Seasonal Spinach Harvest Supervisor to lead a team of pickers in the manual harvest of spinach and other vegetables. You will be working in variable conditions, and may have inexperienced members in your team. You will lead by example motivating and coaching your team to achieve your daily target output; communicating with your manager as you go, reporting any issues or concerns. We are a mixed farm and you will also be required to lead the same team in planting, harvest and hoeing of other crops, such as spring onions or broad beans. You will need to be well organised, be great at prioritising and planning ahead, reliable and hard working, and be confident communicating with both management and your team. You will need to have previous experience of leading a team in an agricultural setting and ideally experience of the manual harvesting of vegetables. It is essential that you have a full driving license for this position. You will usually work five days per week Sunday - Wednesday and Friday. 5.45am – 2pm Sunday to Wednesday 5.45am – 1pm Friday Sometimes you maybe required to work overtime in the evening in order to complete a job, particularly when planting. Saturday and Thursday are your regular days off.
