Food processing

This is the processing of fruit, vegetables, dairy and other fresh products into added value products, it may involve chopping, slicing, dicing, mixing right through to creating fresh sandwiches, pizzas, juices or alcoholic beverages 

There are thousands of food processing facilities in the UK operating 7 days a week to satisfy our demand for food and drink. 

It can often be noisy as there are normally machines to help with the processing, often a fast paced environment so you need to be aware and alert at all times. 

You may be doing roles such as:

• Production line workers
• Quality Control 
• Fork Lift Truck drivers
• Line leaders
• Machine operators 
• Dispatch & Loading
