Over half of the meat eaten in the UK is poultry, it's a huge employer in the UK and covers a diverse range of roles. Meat and Poultry processing can be anything from very basic packing to added value processing like the production of sausages and pies. 

There are also all the jobs that need doing before meat reaches the production lines, washing chicken sheds, tipping chicks, vaccinating, alongside jobs like egg collecting and working in game rearing farms, feeding birds, repairing encloses and animal welfare.
